Ana Godinho
Head of Communications and Engagement at the European Spallation Source
Ana Godinho is a scientist turned communicator. She is currently Head of Communications and Engagement at the European Spallation Source, a 13-Member State European research infrastructure for neutron science. She has led communications teams at research organisations in Portugal, the UK and Switzerland. While Head of Education, Communications and Outreach at CERN, the group received two international communications awards. She has a PhD in Developmental Neurobiology from the University of London and an MSc in Science Communication from the Open University (UK). She sits on review boards, is a regularly invited lecturer on graduate courses and has been a guest researcher at the University of Zurich, where she consolidated her interest in integrating science communication research into practice. Ana co-authored a children’s book of science experiments, and has collaborated in outreach projects in Europe, Africa and Brazil.
