Marcelo Pereira

Marcelo holds a PhD in Immunology from the University of São Paulo and has eight years of experience in bioinformatics, with a focus on the analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. His work bridges molecular biology and computational science, supporting research in transcriptomics, metagenomics, genome assembly, and pathogen detection. He has collaborated with several Portuguese research institutions, contributing to projects in biotechnology and public health. His expertise includes bioinformatic pipeline development, as well as the design of web-based tools and databases to support genomic data analysis. Driven by the impact of data science in life sciences, Marcelo is committed to developing integrative, reproducible solutions that advance research in genomics and public health.
